Kambo is a deep cleansing ceremony for those who feel ready to release and move forward.

WHAT IS KAMBO?

Kambo is a traditional Amazonian medicine derived from the natural secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor, commonly known as the giant monkey frog. For generations, Indigenous peoples of the Amazon have worked with Kambo as part of traditional cleansing and ceremonial practices.

The frog is treated with reverence and respect, and the secretion is traditionally collected without harming the animal. It is then carefully prepared for ceremonial use. During a Kambo ceremony, small amounts are applied to superficial points on the skin, creating a rapid and powerful physical experience.

Kambo is often referred to as the “Vaccine of the Forest”, a traditional name reflecting its long history of use in the Amazon.

Today, people come to Kambo for many different reasons — to mark a transition, create space for release, reconnect with themselves, or simply because something within them says:

“I'm ready to let this shit go.”

The experience is intense. It is physical. And it asks for one thing above all:

Breathe, surrender & allow the medicine to move through you.

A SHARED CEREMONY

There is something different about releasing in a circle.

You arrive with your own story, your own intention, your own reasons for being there — yet you don't have to walk through the experience alone.

Held within a small group and guided by Tāne, the ceremony creates space for release, surrender, connection and renewal.

You don't have to understand it all.
You don't have to control it all. Infact, you let go control of holding it in.
You simply surrender to the experience.

Tāne is a healer, lineage holder and artisan of ceremony and stone, born of Ngāpuhi in Aotearoa.

Descended from chiefs, warriors, healers and storytellers, he walks with deep reverence for his ancestors, sacred traditions and Papatūānuku — Mother Earth. His work draws on sacred plant and animal medicines, ceremonial cacao, breathwork, the Five Elements and stone medicine.

As a Sundancer and holder of sacred space, Tāne brings humility, devotion and reverence to ceremony.

SAFETY & ELIGIBILITY

Kambo is a powerful and physically intense ceremony and is not suitable for everyone. Before participating, you'll be asked to complete a confidential health declaration and intake form so we can determine whether the ceremony is appropriate for you.

Kambo may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have significant heart or blood-pressure conditions, serious medical conditions, or take certain medications. Please disclose all relevant health conditions and medications on your form. If you're unsure whether Kambo is suitable for you, please check with your doctor before applying.
